Orbital Reef

Orbital Reef was conceived as a mixed-use destination in low-Earth orbit to support NASA’s transition from the International Space Station to commercial replacements. NASA’s Commercial LEO Development (CLD). Revealed in 2021, the Orbital Reef concept is to be a business park in space, with destinations for commerce, research, tourism, and more and a platform for partnerships with innovative businesses, universities, and NASA to make this vision a reality.

I worked on the ventilation system on the Reef ECLSS team and, as a designer, participated in a large architectural study that resulted in a major concept update. I also supported the design and fabrication of a customer-facing mock-up at JSC.
